Its all official now, we are no longer citizens of the thriving metropolis of Waikerie. Henley Beach is now our home and Parky and I are working for the School of Languages. We love it. I never wanted to move back to the city, but I'm so glad we did. So is Parky. And the coolest thing of all is that I don't work Thursdays, so the day before yesterday we looked at the tides, wind and swell charts and decided the best and most responsible course of action was to get a carton of dry cider a few litres of fuel and throw the boat in the salty stuff for the first time ever. What a trip. I'm calling it ... I am ... Best day's boating I've ever done. Wow! North Haven to Grange and back, nothing special, just a few hours but what a trip. More of that is going to happen for sure.
A week before Christmas, Maxi, Grant, Parky and I took the Piripi boat out for its first real test. Wakerie to Purnong, 5 days, 200kms, 20 litres of petrol.
Parky got to sleep in a swag. She liked it when I didn't put it in a bull-ant nest. But she's fussy like that.
In General a good time was had by all and we were back in time for Christmas eve.
Just after boxing day, this rag-tag bunch of boofheads made a break for Overland Corner. Amazingly enough were found a pub there. Happy days!

After we lost those guys at the turn of the weekend, Steve and Lysandra rocked up from Melbourne for the Loxton - Berri leg.
We lost drive when the grub screws let go on the prop shaft coupling. But Super-Maxi (not the Yachts) had it in hand. And then we were all happy again.
Then we continued on into NSW/Victoria, eating, drinking, getting terribly hot and then terribly wet. Good times!! A month on the river done.
